Results of Electronic Ballot - Constitution

28 August, 2022

The Board of Archery NZ is pleased to advise that our scrutineers have confirmed the results of the electronic ballot to revise our Constitution.

The new Constitution and membership structure has been passed - 67 votes in favour, 11 against, and 1 abstained. This result (85% in favour) comfortably exceeds the 2/3 majority required for altering the Constitution.

The Board would like to thank our members for their support.

The new Constitution (and associated Admin Rules) will come into effect on 1 October 2022, and will be published on the website from this date, and lodged with the Incorporated Societies.

Process for Clubs to become Affiliated Clubs

The Board will shortly be in touch with clubs to confirm their intentions with regard to becoming Affiliated Clubs, and to confirm details of the procedure for implementation, to ensure that the Privacy Act is complied with.

Individual Membership Options

If your club is not signing up as an Affiliated Club for this membership year, individuals may affiliate directly to Archery NZ, as per the current procedure. The following individual membership categories are available for application (in addition to life Membership, which is awarded):

Full Individual Member - Shooting

This includes all age groups, and entitles the member to:

  • participate in ANZ-approved and operated competitions, and be eligible for awards and records
  • participate in relevant training camps, seminars and learning & development opportunities
  • selection eligibility for National teams
  • upon successful completion of the necessary eligibility criteria and coursework, become an ANZ judge, director of shooting, coach or team manager
  • hold office at any levels of the Association (e.g. Board, committees, appointed roles)
  • attend and vote at General Meetings and in electronic ballots
Full Individual Member - Non-Shooting

This includes all age groups, and entitles the member to:

  • participate in relevant training camps, seminars and learning & development opportunities (in a non-shooting capacity)
  • upon successful completion of the necessary eligibility criteria and coursework, become an ANZ judge, director of shooting, coach or team manager
  • hold office at any levels of the Association (e.g. Board, committees, appointed roles)
  • attend and vote at General Meetings and in electronic ballots

We will be in touch with all members confirming how renewals will work for the coming membership season.
