Notice to Members about Summer League

21 June, 2018

The Archery NZ Board have recently been made aware of a proposed National Teams Challenge proposal being developed and circulated by Ray Houston.

At the last Board meeting, Kerry Hoole presented his proposed changes to the Summer Postal League which will be consulted upon with clubs prior to the commencement of the 2018/19 season.  The proposed changes are to address many of the issues that have been experienced over the last year or two, but build upon the successful league that has been operational for a number of years.

The Board are very thankful for the work that Kerry has been undertaking on behalf of Archery NZ and confirm that the Summer Postal League is endorsed for Archery NZ members – including Postal members.

Clubs are entitled to also participate in the National Teams Challenge being proposed by Ray Houston, but need to be aware that this is not endorsed by the Archery NZ Board and is being managed independently of this endorsement and support.  As such, confirmation of membership status for competitors in the National Teams Challenge will not be checked using Archery NZ records and any certificates/results will not be recognised or publicised by Archery NZ.

If you have any questions in regard to this notice, please address them to Robyn Denton, National Secretary via an email to [email protected]
