Hi all
The Archery NZ Interclub Challenge is a competition between Archery clubs run by Archery NZ from October to April (inclusive). Entries for teams is open now. Entries close end of September so get them in!
You can get the entry form here: https://www.archerynz.co.nz/nz-postal-leagues/postal-league-news/
The competition has a number of divisions, usually with 6 teams per division (some lower divisions may have less). Each division is a round robin competition. This gives 5 rounds for the season. Three rounds are one month long, and two rounds are two months long during the busy time of the season., i.e. October, November and April are the one month rounds with two Month Rounds for December/January and February/March.
The rounds shot are variations of the “Canadian 900” round. For this we shoot five ends of 6 arrows (30 arrows) at each of three distances, depending on Age and Bow types with various face sizes (see chart below). This gives a total of 90 arrows shot by each archer.

Clubs can have up to three teams in the competition for the season. You can have as many archers participate in the shoot as you like and the makeup of your teams are decided at each shoot. For example if you have two teams entered, then the top three archers' scores make your A team and the next 3 your B Team.
A Round is shot over one day. Archers from your club can shoot any time in the day as long as their score is verified by a Senior Archer. Each archer can only shoot the Round once in the day.
Each club may shoot the round a number of times in the time period for that round, for example you may decide to shoot it twice in the month (say once on the first Saturday of the month and once on the last Saturday of the month), then submit the higher of the Teams scores of the two days. (The scores must be all from the same day: you cant mix scores from different days).
Archers must be ANZ members (Or be members of a major international Archery organisation - i.e. WA, IFAA or IBO.) Archers can join Archery NZ with a “Postal Membership” to participate in ANZ postal shoots.
More details information can be found on the Archery NZ website here: https://www.archerynz.co.nz/nz-postal-leagues/postal-league-rules/ or you can contact Kerry Hoole on 021 677 527.
Happy Shooting!
