The Caveman Challenge kicked off the weekend of 30 November / 1 December 2019 in beautiful weather. Immediately the wind picked up but the archers stayed strong. The Saturday was a double 720 with a full line of 16 targets. Morning scores were strong, and then after lunch came some very gusty wind, but the archers prevailed and managed to get through their shots.

The Sunday was also beautiful weather but the wind really played havoc and it was matchplay! The day started with individual eliminations for Compound and Recurve, and then Mixed Teams. Then the most exciting part - especially for people who were unable to attend and had to stay at home - the finals were live-streamed on Sky Sport Next!

It was great to watch our best in action, especially fighting against the wind in most of the matches. The archers shot really well, and a big shout-out has to go to Daniel Sinclair, Nuala Edmundson and Max Stewart who all shot above their age groups and distances and really shone against their senior competitors.
