Best Wishes from the Archery New Zealand Board and Operations Team

12 April, 2020

The Board and Operations Team of Archery New Zealand sends its love and best wishes to friends and fellow archers in the Pacific, in particular to those in Vanuatu and Fiji who have recently experienced Cyclone Harold.  Our thoughts are with you.  We hope Harold has passed without too much more disruption to your lives and we are very conscious that without COVID 19 our New Zealand Senior and Junior teams would have been with you in Fiji.  We are looking forward to the time when we can safely come back to your beautiful islands and compete against the best archers in Oceania.  We hope that will be very soon.

We are also very conscious that a number of archers selected in the Oceania team would have been wearing the Archery New Zealand Black Shirt for the first time.  We feel your disappointment as we know it is an incredibly special moment and an honour you have worked incredibly hard to achieve.  We can assure you that, at the first available opportunity, we will support you in getting to compete in your first international tournament and to wear the Fern with pride.

Again, our sincere congratulations to everyone selected in the team for Oceania and we cannot wait to get back to something approaching ‘business as usual’.
