Junior Disability Games 2016 - Thankyou Coaches!

19 May, 2016

A big thank-you to all the coaches and helpers who travelled from far and wide to help run archery at the Halberg Junior Disability Games again this year. The event was a big success, thanks to the great work of the coaches from River Glade, Lake view, Mountain Green, Rotorua and Tolaga Bay.

"The Halberg Junior Disability Games held in Cambridge from 22 - 24 April, 2016 is the only national sports event of its kind for physically disabled and visually impaired young New Zealanders.

The Halberg Disability Sport Foundation hosted the event which gave the athletes an opportunity to enjoy the thrill of competition, try new sports, share some healthy comradery and make new friends.

113 athletes attended the Games with competitors coming from all around New Zealand to represent their regional team in the 19 sports on offer.

The Games would have been impossible without organisations like Archery NZ helping to deliver or support the event.

We have had great feedback from our athletes and their families and we thank you for your support to enable us to make such a positive experience for all.

On behalf of Sir Murray Halberg and the Foundation our thanks and appreciation for your support of the Halberg Junior Disability Games."
