Entries open for National Field Championships 2018

13 April, 2018

An invitation is extended to all archers & arbalests

To come and enjoy with us the 1st stand alone Archery New Zealand National Field Championships 2018.

This event is for Youth, Senior & Master age groups and will be shot under World Archery Rules. Rounds to be shot are on following pages.

The Field Championships will be decided on two WA rounds, a marked 24 target round and a 24 target unmarked round.  These rounds will be the “Field Championships” as well as being used for ranking for the Demonstration Field Match Play Event for the Top 4 in each division.  The fantastic Massey Archery Club venue at 11 Red Hills Road, Massey Auckland will be used for this inaugural event. The club is situated approximately 19km north west of central Auckland and is around 30 minutes’ drive from there.

There are no official uniform requirements for the Field events as it is more relaxed, i.e. there is no compulsory attire but good footwear e.g. boots are recommended, but NO CAMO clothing allowed.  Maximum draw weight of 60lbs (World Archery rules apply). Multiple sight pins are not allowed for Unmarked rounds.

Please encourage your archery friends to join you in 2018 at the National Field Championships and to participate at whatever level you all enjoy. We also invite overseas archers to join us at this event along with Bow Hunters, Traditional Archers & NZFAA members.  We look forward to seeing you all in May 2018.
