The Archery New Zealand Board would like to extend a warm welcome to our new General Manager, Mike Thompson.

Mike has been working in the sports sector since 1996.  He has held marketing and senior roles in a number of sports organisations including Northern Districts Cricket, Waikato BOP Football, College Sport Auckland and Squash NZ.

For the last 11 years, Mike has worked as a consultant/contractor in the sport and not-for-profit sectors.  His work has includesd fundraising and relationship management roles, together with CEO roles with International Taekwon-Do and North Harbour Gymnastics.

Mike has strong networks within sport and has a track record in building organisation capability, sustainability and managing change.

In the short few weeks that he has been onboarding with Archery New Zealand, Mike is already working through his 90-day plan, in addition to identifying how he can support our overall strategy.  It's a really exciting time for Mike to join Archery New Zealand and we're looking forward to working with him.
