WA Camp, CQT & YOG

World Archery is running a 5-day camp for cadet recurve archers prior to the Continental Qualifying Tournament (CQT) in Auckland in February.

This camp is in preparation for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which are being held in Nanjing, China from 16th to 28th August 2014.

World Archery is covering the costs for one male and one female cadet recurve archer, who has a birth-date between 1st January 1997 and 31st December 1999 from each of the member countries of Oceania to attend.

In addition to the required birth-date, all archers must have shot the minimum qualifying scores (MQS);

Male           1160 for the 1440 round; 580 for the 60m round

Female       1140 for the 1440 round; 570 for the 60m round.

Those archers attending the camp will then compete at the CQT, with places for Oceania for one male and one female to compete at the YOG.

If either of our two nominated archers should win a place for Oceania, the criteria for the YOG, as set by ArcheryNZ and approved by the NZOC, will be as follows;

Scores (4) Between 1st October 2012 and 3rd June 2014:

Male           1240 for the 1440 round; 623 for the 60m round

Female       1240 for the 1440 round; 595 for the 60m round

Tournament Criteria:

Archery NZ National Championships 2014

Continental Qualifying Tournament 2014

JAMA Championships 2014
