Tuesday 15 October
Elizabeth and Marcus had their qualification rounds today.
The morning was very windy (like 2013 nationals in Whitianga) with the wind swirling around the stadium in gusts and cold. All the tents and covers had blown down overnight or were being taken down when we arrived.
The windy conditions had upset a number of archers, but some of the recurve scores were over 1300 .
Marcus shot in the `pm, when the wind had dropped a bit. Because of the number of archers shooting in the `pm finished well after 5.30 pm , when the light is dwindling.
All in all a good day. Marcus is up against the 42 ranked Russian this morning and then in mixed teams this afternoon - up against the Mexicans who were ranked third.
Weather looks more promising, sun's out and looks warmer than the predicted 18 Degrees.
