Archery New Zealand Team Selection Scores
World Crossbow Target Champs
The World Target Crossbow Championships will take place in Portugal from 30 August to 5 September 2009.
The Archery New Zealand (ANZ) qualifying scores are set out below.
Arbalists need to have achieved at least 2 of these scores in the period 1 October 2007 – 31 July 2009. The scores must have been shot in major tournaments registered with Archery New Zealand or in tournaments overseas that are recognised by ANZ as similar in organisation and standard.
As usual for those seeking to represent New Zealand arbalests must be affiliated as full members of the Association and have competed in the most recent National Championships (or have received an exemption from the Board of ANZ).
Arbalists wishing to be considered for selection need to so advise Patrick Biggs (pjb99195@yahoo.co.uk) and send him the qualifying scores. If there are good reasons for the scores not having been achieved an explanation needs to accompany the request to still be considered for selections.

2011 Junior World Target Championships Qualifying Scores
The Junior World championships are held every two years, with the last being held in Ogden, Utah USA, July 2009. This is a world ranking event.
Recurve:
Junior Men 1220
Junior Women 1220
Cadet Men 1220
Cadet Women 1220
Compound:
Junior Men 1320
Junior Women 1320
Cadet Men 1320

The four scores at the above level are required to be shot within the period from 1st January 2010 to March 2011, at the close of the North Island and South Island JAMA Championships. Scores from Registered Fita tournaments and RMTs accepted.
Fita 720s are not accepted as this event does not use 720s for matchplay ranking.
Attendance at the 2011 NZ Outdoor Target Championships in Hamilton is mandatory.
The above scores are based on the 32nd score at the 2009 Junior Worlds, with the Recurve being 20 points under this score to allow for Recurve development.
The exception being the JWC and CWC where only 6 scores were below 1300. So these have been set at the same level as the Men’s Compound. Bearing in mind these will be world class archers.
Please register your interest in this tournament with the JAMA Convenor, as soon as possible so your scores can be monitored.
You will also need to be a member of the Junior Development Squad or the High Performance squad.
Obtaining qualifying scores does not guarantee selection.
